Front view of Clifton House. The 1881 Census lists William Slee and Thirza Slee (nee Champion) and their children as living here. The Census also lists Thirza's father John Champion and her brother Samuel Champion both farm labourers living at the premises.

Rear view of Clifton House. From the 1881 Census record it is unclear whether the rear part of the building existed. It may have been a later extension.

A sliding door retained as a feature to the property adjacent to Clifton House. Thirza's husband Willian Slee was a Carter by profession, the sliding door most likely was the entrance to stables where he would have kept his horse(s) and cart.
