P0110 Appledore, Devon 1875
Reputably the earliest known picture of Appledore Quay. Gas lamps were installed at the Quay around 1875. The vessels lying off Quay, are the 'Happy Return' left, and the 'Countess Caithness' right. (National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London)
