P0104 Appledore, Devon
Boatmen hauling their boat up a slip-way that was once opposite the Seaman's Bethel about 1903. This slip-way was replaced by steps when the Quay was reformed in 1940. In the background can be seen the ketch 'Jane, Ann and Elizabeth' (National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London)
